Join Garwyn and Verity to honour the changing season with an Autumnal tea ceremony and sound journey. Gathering in the tide of the Equinox, we will integrate sound with nature's poetry, absorbing the rich, generous spirit of Harvest.
Our evening will begin with a traditional tea ceremony, receiving the medicine of Elder and the alchemical magic of the Earth. With a simple observation of this ancient tree, we witness the turning of tides; the creamy, frothy elderflowers that sang in the summer have ripened to inky-black fruit, now elderberries deepen and droop on their branches—signalling the coming of Autumn, drawing us into the darker half of the year, as we move beyond the Equinox.
The Latin name for Elderberry is Sambucus, which translates as “gift from the gods”. Rich in colour and medicinal properties, Elderberry has many health-bolstering properties to support our seasonal immunity - packed full of flavonoids and anthocyanins, also an excellent source of vitamin C to help stave off colds, congestion and inflammation, supporting our respiratory, blood, and heart health.
Once we have drunk the nourishing Elderberry tea, it is time to lay your body and bones down, yielding your weight to the Earth as you are bathed in sounds Interwoven. We will guide you on a shamanic journey with a gentle meditation to lead you in and draw you out of the sound. There will be the opportunity to share afterwards, should you wish.
